About Jon Friesen

Jon Friesen

Photography became an important part of my life as I made my way through a very low point. Picking up a camera gave me a new way of seeing the world, and myself. From this experience I became more and more engaged with both the technical and compositional challenges of photography. I am largely self-taught, but have spent some time in workshops locally and at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana. My images represent different locations and subjects. I love to travel and the camera is an important part of each journey. Additionally, I have taken the camera in to my full time work with emergency medical services. What you will see in my images is a reflection of both of these parts of my life. While my landscape...
